Easter Week Devotions - Part 2

Tonight we did the second part of our Easter week devotions. It was focused on the Last Supper. This is a hard one with kids since it is sort of abstract in ways. Just the references that Jesus makes to the bread and wine being his body and blood are hard for kids to get I think. Matt did a great job of telling the story from Matthew 26:26-30. He kept it on Ben's level and Ben did a great job of listening. After we went over the story we had some yummy bread as an illustration...
Of course this was the best part for the kids.

I look forward to each year them growing in understanding of what an important the story the Lord's Supper is and what it truly means.

After the devotion we watched a movie version of one of my favorite books - A Tale of Three Trees. It is such a wonderful story about how God's plans are so much bigger than ours. If you have never heard it you can watch it here.

I am so enjoying our family time this week as we focus on the true meaning of Easter!
