Hair Disaster

Having a baby/toddler with lots of hair is a wonderful blessing. It is so pretty and we just love it. But there are some serious issues with having all the hair that Kate has at such a young age. It is a battle every morning to get her to sit still to fix it. It is always full of food or snot. Forget hairstyles. Nothing lasts for more than 10 seconds. And today we discovered a new one... Yes that is her paci wrapped up in her hair. It was a total mess this morning when I picked her up out of her crib. She likes to rub her paci through her hair to go to bed. She also likes to wrap her hair around her fingers to go to sleep. I guess she combined them and this is what we got. It was horribly stuck up in her hair. I spent about 20 minutes trying to untangle it before breakfast. I just knew I was going to have to cut it out. I was just about to call the hairdresser. I put her in the car to take the kids to speech and by the time we got to the school she had worked it out. She got it stuck so I guess she knew how to get it unstuck. It was one of those stressful mommy moments that you can then look back on and laugh. So it goes down as reason number 5 as to why babies should not have hair!
