Disney Trip - Day 5

After a rough night at Downtown Disney, we were all ready for a slower paced day. Thankfully we had a slow day scheduled for Thursday. We started out by taking a monorail ride over to the Contemporary Hotel for breakfast at Chef Mickey's!Our family picture turned out really funny! The food was a yummy breakfast buffet. It was great! The best part was the characters. It was the "fab 5" as they are called! First we got to meet Pluto. Then Mickey!Kate was super excited to finally get to meet Minnie. She looked so cute in her Minnie dress that Mema made for her.
Goofy came by for a visit too. They played a fun song and we all danced and had a great time!
Finally we got to visit with Donald. After our breakfast, we headed back to the hotel for a relaxing morning. We were finally able to check out the hotel and see what it looked like. We had been on the go so much that we hadn't even taken the time to check it all out. The hotel was New Orleans themed so it was really fun. The doorman met us each day and handed out dablooms to the kids. The kids got to check out the fun playground. Everything at the hotel was really beautiful. The flowers were in full bloom and so pretty! The pool area was great! The slide was super fun. Kate kept calling the the guy on the slide "Ariel's Daddy." We thought that was too funny.
Everybody was really excited to finally get to go swimming. The weather was just perfect all week. Highs were in the mid to upper 70's. It was mostly sunny and just perfect. Kate was so excited to jump into the water. She kept saying "I swim all day!" Ben had a little accident and got a big boo boo on his knee which was quite traumatic. We finally got him into the water and he had a blast!
The kids had so much fun going down the slide. Ben probably went down 100 times! We played in the pool all morning and then enjoyed a nice long nap. After napping, we headed out to hit the parks again. We went to Hollywood Studios again to catch a few more shows and see a few more characters. We got to meet the Incredibles.
I just love this family picture! We also got to meet the characters from Monsters Inc. We then went and saw the Lights, Camera, Action Stunt Show. It was lots of fun and we all loved all the car chases. We even got to see Lightening McQueen.
Then we saw the Beauty and the Beast stage show. It was so neat. Kate just sat mesmerized. Well I think we all did. Mema and Opa then took Kate back to the hotel to get her to bed early and we spent a fun evening with just Ben. We rode Star Tours again! Then we park hopped over to the Magic Kingdom to play a new game they have called Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. You collect spell cards and then play a game to defeat villains throughout the park. Ben and Matt had a blast playing. It was a fun evening hanging out with our little guy!It was nice to have a low key, relaxing day in the middle of the trip!
