Baby Shower

My sweet friend Hollie is having a baby boy next month.  I am so excited for her.  She and I have been prayer/accountability partners over the past few years.  We have been praying for God to reveal his direction for their family and He answered by giving them a sweet addition.  I knew I wanted to celebrate this special gift with a baby shower.  I have been planning it for the past few months and was so excited for it!
I went with a simple color scheme of lime green and turquoise.  I have done that for showers in the past so I was able to reuse some of the things.  I did make this super cute yarn wreath with little bunting I saw on Pinterest.
I was so excited to use my brand new dining room!
For her gift, I got Hollie these cute letters to use in Ryan's nursery.  It was great because I could also use them for decoration at the shower.

I chose to keep things simple with the food and just do a dessert shower.  It was fun to plan fun desserts to share.  I got the awesome cookie lady I have found to make these cookies.  They were amazing and the hit of the party.
I did little strawberry shortcake shooters.  Such a festive little thing that is so easy to make.
 And chocolate dipped strawberries.
It was a fun girly night.  We just sat around and visited with our friends and then Hollie opened her gifts.  It was the perfect way to celebrate.  It was good to get caught up with several of our friends I had not seen in quite a while.
I am so thankful for such a special friend God has brought into my life.  She has been such a blessing to me.  I was glad to be able to have a special evening for her (and I always love to throw a party).
