Parent Trap, Pictures, Pool, Playset & Pageants

Well that alliteration sums up our weekend perfectly.  It was a weekend of P's I guess.  We had a nice relaxing evening Friday night in which we watched Parent Trap with the kids.  They thought it was really funny.  I love getting to show them movies we grew up with.

Saturday morning we had family pictures.  Always a fun ordeal.  Gotta make sure all the clothes coordinate and everyone is in a good mood.  We actually got the pictures for my mom for her birthday so it was the big family of 9.  I think they turned out great (at least we hope).
Saturday night we had a pool party at our neighbor's house to welcome some new families to our street.  It was so much fun to see all the kids playing together and having a great time!
We did s'mores which is always a hit with the kids.  We are so thankful for our wonderful neighbors.

All the extra time between all the activities was spent working on a new playset for the kids.  Our old one got messed up in the storm so we got a fun new one.  Matt's about 3/4 of the way done so hopefully it will be all done next weekend.
The weekend wrapped up with the Miss American pageant on Sunday night.  My friend Natalie got me watching the pageant with I was a teenager (it is a Mississippi thing I think) and I have enjoyed it ever since. There were some crazy talents this year including the winner who "played" cups.  I think I will start teaching Kate that skill so one day she might be Miss America!
