I know it is a little late but I had the best Mother's Day on Sunday. Really everything about the day was just perfect. It started with breakfast in bed from these sweeties! It was not just a run of the mill breakfast it was amazing. A loaded omelet with fruit and toast. I could hear them scurrying around in the kitchen as they were cooking. Sweet sounds!
I love this picture. Even though I look rough I see love. This is where my heart is with these 2 little ones. I got some really awesome presents including some running stuff and Toomer's Corner lemonade candles.
Ben made me a sweet little trinket box at school and decorated the bag just beautifully. There is nothing more precious than a box decorated with dried beans.
We enjoyed a fun morning at church and lunch out after at Grandmother's House. Matt is always so amazing on Mother's Day not allowing me to do anything. I tried to empty the dishwasher and he yelled at me! I love him and so thankful for how he serves me not just one day a year but everyday.
I had been wanting to go strawberry picking for several weeks and we had the afternoon free so we headed to a local patch for some picking fun. The bushes were just loaded with strawberries. It took us no time at all to fill our buckets full (which is a good thing because it was really warm)!
We came home and went on a family bike ride. I have been looking forward to doing this for years and am so glad the kids are finally old enough. It was really great to all get to ride down the street together!
We finished up the day with strawberry shortcake made with our fresh picked berries. Yummy!!!
I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a mother. The fact that God would bless me with this undertaking is overwhelming. My daily prayer is that everything I do as a mom points my little people to Jesus.
