Saturday night we got together with my family to celebrate the 4th. Always a special time when we can all be together. We did a traditional 4th menu which was great since I missed out on it on Friday night. Ben hauled in the watermelon.
We have all been talking about homemade ice cream all summer so it was great to finally make some. It was yummy (I don't think there is anyway it can't be yummy). Another check on the Summer List of Fun. Of course there was some cornhole played.
I managed to get a good picture of the cousins together. Not an easy feat with these 3. It is so much fun to watch them play together and interact these days. Perry calls them "Ben" and "Tate." It is so cute. He loves everything they do and follows them around laughing.
Kate was exhausted again at the end of the day and fell asleep on Grandaddy. Such a sweet sight. Thankful for these moments.
We wrapped up our celebrating with lunch on Sunday at the Eckleys house. I forgot to take any pictures but imagine wonderful smoked food. It was a great weekend all around!
