So yesterday ended up being a very random day. I was getting really down on Thursday because the redo stuff was dragging on and I had been stuck inside with workers for 2 days. Our contractor was not coming back until afternoon on Friday. I woke up on Friday and decided to make it a fun day even if our house was a giant mess. I remembered with was cow appreciation day at Chic-fil-a. I did a quick internet search to see how to throw together some cow costumes. I did a 15 minute rush job and we were out of the house dressed as cows. We went to Chic-fil-a dressed as cows to eat our breakfast! Nothing like free chicken!!
As we were leaving Chic-fil-a we were listening to Rick & Bubba and Ben heard they were in Huntsville. I said we could go see them and off we went to the VBC to check it out. We got there at 9:35 as the show was finishing up. We listened to the last couple of segments which was perfect for the kids. Ben loved seeing how the show was done. There really weren't that many people at the show so we got to be involved in some crowd interaction. I was even on the radio asking Bubba a question. The kids loved meeting the boys after the show!
And then because we could we went to Chic-fil-a (a different one) for lunch. I mean we were already dressed as cows so why not get more free chicken. The workers even said that our costumes were pretty impressive (not bad for 15 minutes).
Matt said I won the "Coolest Mom" award for our crazy, random day. It was fun and a great break from the craziness of our messy house!
