Pumpkin Patch 2014

Yesterday we finally got to go to Tate Farms for our annual trip to the pumpkin patch.  I think this was the 6th year we have been able to go there.  It really doesn't feel like fall until we visit Tate's.  There was a little bit of a nip in the air which made it feel a bit like fall.
We weren't the only people who had the smart idea of a pumpkin patch visit yesterday.  It was very crowded!!  We were laughing that it was a bit like Disney World.  With the long lines we were wishing for fast passes.  The kids hit the slides and climbing things first.

Ben's favorite part of the day was the giant jumping pillow.  I think he could have jumped all day.

Kate's favorite part was the corn crib.  She loved jumping into the corn and getting buried.  I love this picture of her!

The kids enjoyed a ride on the corn train.

Then it was time for a hayride out to the pumpkin fields to find the perfect pumpkins for our family.
Kate was very intent on finding the perfect pumpkin.  She enjoyed inspecting them all.
After much debate we settled on 2 pumpkins that will be perfect for carving.

It was a really fun day.  Perfect weather and great family time.  Fall can officially begin now that we have our pumpkins!
