What A Trip!!!

We had an AMAZING trip!!!! It was so much fun and we got to experience so many great things. We ate way to much!! Now to get back into the routine of things. Here are just a few pictures to hold you over until I can start posting about it!!

Career Plans

Ben had career day at school last week and that got us all talking about careers...

 Ben has always said that he wants to be in the military but he decided to expand a little on his career plans.  He says he is going to Auburn and then is going to go into the military.  After the military he is going to become an astronaut.  When he retires from being an astronaut he is going to work at the botanical gardens so his mom and dad can come visit him.  So those are his plans through the age of 70.  Very good and well thought out.

Then there is our free spirited second child...

When asked of her future plans she said she is going to go to college ins space (ok that is maybe doable in 16 years).  And for her career she would like to be an alien.  Really????  At least she chose a good place to study to become an alien.  There are times we just don't know what to do with her!

No matter what these 2 do I know they will succeed!!!

Bath Time

One of my favorite times of the day is bath time.  And it is not just because I don't give the kiddos baths (really I could count on one hand the number of times I have given them a bath).  It is because they always have so much fun in the bath.  There is always tons of giggling and splashing!  I love to sit and listen to the fun that is happening.  Sweet sounds that I want to remember always!

Name In Lights

We were driving past the hospital over the weekend and saw a great sight...

 Yep Matt's name in bright lights.  We didn't know that it was going to be up there so it was a great surprise!  He is also up on the webpage.  Again I am so proud of him!!!

Sweet Cousins

So Perry has been around for almost 3 months now and we had yet to get a picture of all 3 cousins together. Yesterday while Perry was at our house, all 3 were in a good mood so I quickly put them together and grabbed my phone and got a couple of quick pics. Wish I had my better camera but they turned out pretty good! Hopefully we can get more of the 3 of them soon but we will take what we can get.

Little Eyes Are Watching

God hit me over the head the other day with a great truth.  I was doing a little ironing (something I never, ever do!!)  As I was finishing up I heard a bumping coming down the stairs.  It was Kate pulling down her play iron and ironing board.  She wanted to iron with me.  It shocked me a little bit but also humbled me greatly.  The little eyes in our house are always watching.  They see everything we do and want to do the same things we are doing.  I was struck with how I have to make sure everything I do is encouraging to them.  All I do needs to point them to Jesus even in the small things like ironing!!  I am thankful for this little reminder.

The Rest Of Our Saturday

After the great morning at the Wizard of Oz breakfast, there was still more fun to be had.  The day was just gorgeous!!  It was so great to have 2 Saturdays in a row that were spring like.  We decided to take advantage of it and head on over to the botanical gardens.  We had a great time exploring the new things and just enjoying the beautiful day.  

 It was great to have a picnic lunch outside.

 The gardens have these great new area with hammocks.  We all enjoyed relaxing.

 The exhibit for the summer is giant backyard things.  We enjoyed playing croquet on the giant course.  

 It was such a fun time!  Next we headed over to my parent's house for the first dinner of the season on their patio.  My dad makes the best grilled pizzas.  We enjoyed relaxing and catching up with everyone.  

 Kate was being her normal crazy self.  I had to get a picture.

What a fun Saturday it was!

We're Off To See The Wizard

 We had a great weekend that kicked of Saturday morning with a trip to Oz.  Our local high school is putting on the Wizard of Oz this year for their musical.  They had a wonderful breakfast with the characters on Saturday morning.  It was so much fun!  The kids have never seen Wizard of Oz but they really got into the fun characters.

 

 Dorothy carried around  a real dog all morning.  The kids loved petting it.

 The characters were awesome!  So interactive and interesting.  The kids loved talking.

 Ben's favorite was the tin man.

 They also had face painting and crafts which the kids loved!

 Kate's favorite was Dorothy of course!

 I guess it is leftover from seeing Wicked in NYC but the bad witch was my favorite!

Our friends the McClures were also there so the kids enjoyed seeing them.  

 It was such a fun morning.  We are all looking forward to going and seeing the musical in a few weeks!

Top Of The Mornin To Ya

We have a fun day celebrating St. Patrick's Day today. We all wore our green and tonight enjoyed some leprechaun punch! May the luck of the Irish be with you!
