Spirit Week

Each year the week before Halloween HCES has Red Ribbon week where each day the kids do fun things to celebrate staying drug free.  I missed taking picture of team day and silly sock day but did get pictures of the kids 2 favorite days.  They were so excited for PJ day.  Nothing better than rolling out of bed and getting to wear your pajamas to school!
And today was crazy hair day!  Since Ben and Kate have some awesome hair we had fun making it crazy!!  Spikes and ponytails along with some fun color and these 2 looked awesome!!

Pumpkin Carving 2015

We weren't sure if we were going to get around to carving pumpkins this year.  Just so much going on.  But Kelly texted this morning and asked if we wanted to come over for a fun night of carving.  She never does anything halfway so we had a fun spread of food including punch with dry ice that made it bubble and smoke.
The kids enjoyed watching It's a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown while the parents carved (well mainly the dads).

We always try to do pumpkins that match costumes each year so Kate chose a Chinese character to go along with her Mulan and Ben did a Minecraft pumpkin.

It has become a tradition to carve our pumpkins with Perry!  The kids always have so much fun!

Fall Festival

On Sunday, we met up with Andrew, Kelly and Perry to go to the fall festival at Kate's old school - Mayfair.  Kate debated for a while and decided to dress up as Mulan.  She looked cute with her little Peter Pan buddy!
First up we did some trunk or treating.  Everyone thought Mulan was so cute and she got lots of candy!
Then we took a hay ride over to the fun games.
While playing games we ran into the cutes little Cheshire Cat!!  Kate had a blast!
It was a fun afternoon with some of the greatest people!!

A Fun Weekend

We had some special guests hanging out with us all last weekend.  Paige and Kevin got to go to Hawaii for a week so Evan and Addy got to spend a few days hanging out with us!  We started with a sleepover on Friday night.  Everyone got to make their own homemade pizza.  It is a big joke because Evan once told him mom that all we ever eat at our house is pizza.  Ha!  We must have it every time they come over.
Saturday was a busy day.  We went up to Green Mountain for a picnic and a hike.  The leaves were beautiful and we had a great time!!

Saturday night the girls were invited to a Halloween party at one of our neighbor's house.  They had so much fun playing games, decorating cookies and pumpkins, hitting a pinata and having a dance party.  It was a lot of fun!!

We had a great weekend.  Always enjoy time with their besties!!

Disney on Ice

Last Sunday I found a great last minute deal on tickets to Disney on Ice.  Kate and I invited Isaac and Mrs. Kim to join us for a fun afternoon!  These two are so cute together and they always have fun when they are together!

The show was lots of fun and all about holidays.  All our favorite Disney characters were included.
Kate loved the number with all the princesses of course!
Loved some more special time with my little mini me!  She is so much fun and I love hanging out with her.
Love these two little ones!  Their big brothers were off having a great time seeing the movie Woodlawn so don't worry they missed out on the fun.

Tate Farm Field Trip

It is a rite of passage for every kindergartner to get to go to Tate Farms on their first field trip.  Kate was so excited last week when she got to go!  Thankfully I was able to get away from work and get to tag along to take part in all the fun!  Tate Farms is every little kid's dream!  Jumping on the giant pillow...
 Petting all the animals...
 Going down the huge slide...
 Playing in the corn crib...

I loved getting to meet all of Kate's new school friends.  They are a sweet bunch of girls and I am so glad she is already making such great friends.
And of course we took the hayride out to pick out our pumpkin.  Kate searched high and low for the perfect pumpkin.
Uncle Dennis was our tractor driver and he helped Kate clip her pumpkin.
It was a cute little pumpkin perfect for Kate!
Loved spending the day with my sweet girl.  It was a beautiful day and just perfect!

We finished up with a picnic lunch on the farm.
It was a great day at Tate Farms!!!

Goalie

Ben finished up his soccer season this week.  His team didn't do that great but he still had fun.  He enjoys soccer a lot.  He actually finished out the season playing goalie at most of the games.  It made us as parents a nervous wreck but he did great!!  He took his job very serious and had a great time playing the position!  We are proud of him for taking on such a tough job and doing so well at it!

Fall Break Part 3

We were having such a great time on our impromptu vacation that we decided to make one more stop on our way home.  Saturday morning we got up and headed to Atlanta for the day.  We of course had to make our first stop at the Varsity for some greasy food.  Kids loved it!
Then we went to the College Football Hall of Fame.  It was amazing!!  We had heard good things and it met expectations.  It was so cool from the minute we walked in with the giant wall of football helmets.

They had tons of interactive exhibits that were so cool!  We spent hours exploring and checking out all there was to see.
Ben liked seeing all the Auburn players and coaches that were in the Hall of Fame.
Even Kate got into the action with some of the exhibits!
One of the coolest things was getting to be part of the College Gameday set.  Ben and Matt did awesome!

The whole bottom floor is a football field where you can kick, catch and throw.  Ben loved it!

We had such a great time!  We spent the rest of the day relaxing at our hotel before going to get some Thai food.  It was the kids first time to have Thai and they loved it!
Sunday we made it back to Huntsville.  We had such a great time even if it was not our original plan!
