A Football Kind of Weekend

Another weekend has come and gone.  Why can't they last longer??  It was another fabulous one!  It started Friday night with a trip to the Grissom/Huntsville football game.  Nothing better than some "Friday Night Lights."  We went with Brad and LeeAnn and their girls.  The kids were excited to see the tiger!
It was a fun game.  We never know who to cheer for in this game but our Grissom roots always win out!
We were laughing that not much has changed in 20 years (and yes it has been 20 years since Matt was in high school - he's old).  Grissom is still horrible (they lost like 47 to 0 - they only won 2 games the whole time I was in school) and we still go to the games with the same friends!  How fun!
Saturday was a fun day that started with a scrimmage soccer game for Ben.  Then we went to a fundraiser for my friend Paige's brother.  It was in the town of Paint Rock and it was lots of fun.  Great activities and lots of ways to donate money.  They raised over $23,000 which is just awesome!  Matt worked the donor room to be placed on the bone marrow donor registry.  We were both excited to get signed up to "be the match."
Saturday night was all about the Auburn football!!  We had my family over for dinner and a little football.  This picture cracks me up.  Everyone is so calm and laid back.  The kids were all in bed at this point so I think everyone was worn out.  We are so glad Auburn is 2-0!  A great start to the year.  Hoping it keeps up.
Love weekends with family and friends!!
