Meet the Newest Member of Our Family

This is Safari Emmanuel and he just became part of our family through sponsorship!!!!

We are so excited to be sponsoring Safari!! He lives in Rwanda in one of the little villages that Matt visited back in March. He is 4 years old (his birthday is really close to Ben's) and he loves drawing and soccer. He is in preschool and wants to become a doctor one day. We are sponsoring him through Africa New Life Ministries. This is the organization that Matt worked with while he was in Rwanda. He was so impressed with how well run they are and what all they do for the children that are sponsored. Through our money each month Safari's physical needs will be taken of but more importantly he will be presented with the gospel!!! He will get to learn about Jesus and how He died for all of our sins.

This is something we have talked about doing for a long time but just never have done it. Our desire is to teach Ben and Kate how blessed they are and how important it is to share with others. After Matt's experiences this spring, we knew that Africa New Life Ministries was how we wanted to sponsor a child. We are so excited to get to write letters and send gifts to Safari. We will get to watch him grow up along with Ben. He really is going to be the newest member of our family. I am sure we will get to share some stories about Safari on here soon!
