We had a super Easter weekend! It was packed full of so many fun activities that I got behind on the blog. I have a bunch to catch up on so watch over the next few days for some updates.
Saturday morning the kids woke up to their Easter baskets. We like to do them on Saturday to avoid making Sunday morning before church too crazy. We don't "do" the Easter Bunny per say. The baskets are from us. We really want the focus of the holiday to be on Jesus and His gift to us!
Ben got a new Star Wars Lego that he was so excited about!! He also got some fruit roll ups and chips and new socks (I always got socks in my Easter basket growing up so we have to carry on the tradition). Kate got a new Sleeping Beauty and Tiana dolls. She got fruit snacks and socks as well.
Matt ran and got some donuts and donut holes from our local donut shop. We made them into empty tombs! We then got ready and went to an egg hunt at my parent's church. They were so excited to go get the eggs.
They got so many eggs and so much candy!!! Love this picture of my dad and Kate.
They both loved the cookie decorating station. Nothing like a holiday to get all sorts of candy and treats. Then it was off to jump in the inflatables and slide down the big slides.
It was a fun way to kick off the Easter weekend!
