Ben's surgery this morning went great!!! I really don't think it could have gone any better. We got there at 5:30 (Yep that meant a 4:15 wake up). He wasn't too nervous. We got checked in and just had to wait. The doctor came in around 7:15 and they took him back. He was out of surgery a little before 8. He woke up sort of out of it and not doing so good but that quickly wore off and he was asking to go home. No nausea or any side effects from the anesthesia. We were home by 9:30. Way earlier than we were told! It all went so well. Thank you all for praying for us today! He was a little out of it when we got home but within a couple of hours he was back to himself! The doctor said they were able to get all of the mass. He is very certain it was just a cyst but we will have to wait for the final path report. He did say the size of it was in his words "very impressive." We Eckleys don't do anything halfway!! Here are some pictures from the day.
Aunt Joanna putting on his hospital bracelet. Joanna is head of registration at the hospital so she came in extra early so she could register Ben. That was special. This was the most trauma for Ben. He hates things on his arm so the bracelet really bothered him!
Heading off to surgery! They let him drive the jeep there himself. It was so cute!! He of course loved it.

So happy to hear that he did well for the surgery!
oh, bless his little heart, he looks so sad waking up. I am glad it went pretty good though and glad he is home and feeling better!
Sweet Ben! I am so glad it went well! Micah was worried about him! He said the sweetest little prayer!
Oh, he looks so sad waking up! That just makes me want to cry! I'm so glad to hear that it all went well, though!
I'm so glad it went well, we were praying :). The waking up pic is so pitiful, it gave me a flashback of Gabe waking up from surgery - just as hard for the mom as the kid I think! ~Jess
Oh! I had no idea he was having surgery! I know you were a nervous wreck! I would be.
I am so glad he is okay. Please tell him Miss Christy hopes he feels better soon.
