Stitches, A Picnic & Free Chicken

That pretty much sums up our day! It was a full day. We went back to the surgeons office to have Ben's stitches removed first thing this morning. It was cracking me up in the waiting room - Ben was looking at a digital picture frame with plastic surgery pictures. He was very interested in the differences between the pictures. I guess he was planning his next plastic surgery. Every 3 year old needs a plastic surgeon don't you think! He did very well with the stitch removal overall. He cried but stayed very still which was all we needed. We got the path report back today. It was not a cyst like we thought it was a pilomatricoma. Had to do some research on it this afternoon. They are benign skin tumors commonly found on the head and neck. They are quite rare and the majority occur in children. There is a chance the tumor could come back so we will have to have some close follow up over the next few months. The key word is benign! So that was good news.

After the surgeon's office we headed to the park to meet our friends the Johnsons for a picnic lunch and some fun. I knew Ben would need some fun after a rough start to the day. And who better to have fun with than his best buddy Micah!! They really are best buddies. They play so well together. We had a great time enjoying the sunshine. I always love catching up with Kim. It is so encouraging to talk to another mom who goes through similar things.

Kate and Isaac enjoyed some blanket time.
Best Buds!
Kate was cracking me up today with all her bows. She had one in her hair and 2 on her shoulders and then a really big one across her backside. She is all girl!! When I got her dressed this morning she was smiling and laughing. She felt pretty in all her bows!

Just had to share this picture. Ben fell fast asleep this afternoon on my bed in the middle of all the clean laundry.

This evening we went with about 1/2 of Huntsville to Chick-fil-a for free chicken nuggets. Nothing like wonderful Chick-fil-a for free!! We will be going every Monday in April.

Adorable photos :). I'll be praying that Ben won't get any more of those tumors! I found some headbands with bows for Julia on Saturday - hopefully I'll get some pics of her in them soon :). ~Jess
