A Special Visit & A Birthday Party

So far our main objective this weekend has been to stay as cool as possible. We are doing our best!

On Friday morning I got a call from my cousin Ben. He and his wife, Carol, and their 3 kiddos were coming to Huntsville to visit the Space and Rocket Center. It had been 3 years since we had seen them so I invited them over to our house for dinner. I had never even met 2 of their kids. We had a low key supper and just got caught up on what they were up to. The kids had a great time playing together.
This was the first time all 5 of them had been together. We got a picture for my grandmother. This is 5 of her 6 great-grandchildren. Kenneth - 6 years old, Joy - 2 1/2 years old, William - 11 months, Kate 19 months and Ben - 4 years old.

It was a very short visit but it was great to get to see them.

On Saturday we got to go to a super fun swim party for the kid's friends Bailey and Sulli. It was up at a pool on the mountain that is always so much fun. The kids had a wonderful time (and the adults did to). Swim parties are so much fun!!

So we have managed to stay pretty cool and have a great weekend. We are super excited that it is a long weekend and we get to celebrate the 4th tomorrow!
