Toomer's Oak

This weekend will be a sad one for the Auburn family.  We will say good bye to the Toomer's Corner Oaks.  Not something we want to do.  Thinking about this got me looking back at pictures of Toomer's through the years.  I will share some of those pictures tomorrow.  Today I wanted to share pictures of our Toomer's Oak.  We were very lucky to order a Toomer's seedling back in 2007.  We planted it in the fall of that year.  

 It started out so small!

 It has grown so well!!  We really weren't sure how well it would do but it has done great.  It is about 8 feet tall and thriving.  We are so glad to have a great piece of Auburn history right in our backyard.
