Disney Day 5 - 1900 Park Fare, Swimming & Whispering Canyon

After some really long days we were all ready for a slower paced day on Tuesday.  Thankfully we had scheduled to be "off" on Tuesday.  The kids were still waking up fairly early so we decided to stick with our breakfast reservation over at the Grand Floridian's 1900 Park Fare.

We had just been eating quick breakfast foods in our room most of the week so it was nice to get a big meal for the day!  The food was good.  I really enjoyed the chilled strawberry soup and the kids loved the Mickey waffles.
1900 Park Fare has a diverse group of characters.  We met Winnie the Pooh.

 And Tigger too!
And Alice.  She was really funny and interactive.
Mary Poppins was perfectly perfect in every way.
But our favorite character was the Mad Hatter.  He was hilarious.  Ben asked him what his favorite tea was and he said Invisabila-TEA and Insana-TEA.

We finished up the morning with a walk through the beautiful hotel.
Then we headed back to our hotel for a lazy day of swimming.  The kids had been begging to swim with the McClures so we spent the morning being lazy by the pool.
Ben and Evan did some Sorcerers card trading.
It was so nice to be able to rest our very tired feet at this point.  The weather was perfect.  The days had been really nice and cool but it was starting to warm up so swimming felt great.
Since we had a really big breakfast we skipped lunch but did get some Nutella and pistachio gelato.
We all took naps that afternoon.  Like I said our goal was to rest all day.  We did meet up with the big group for dinner at the Wilderness Lodge.  It was an amazing hotel.  I think it is where we want to stay next time we go to Disney.  It was just beautiful.  Dinner was at the Wispering Canyon Cafe.
To say we ate a lot would be an understatement.  The food was amazing and there was so much of it!!!
The restaurant is known for its fun antics.  Our waitress was so loud and boisterous.  She was hilarious.  Kate asked for the ketchup and she got about 10 bottles.  We then had to run it to the next table who needed it.
The waitress didn't like having to keep filling up Matt's water glass so she brought him the largest glass of water I have ever seen!

It was the perfect place to eat with a big group.  We had a lot of fun!
Ben and Kate headed back with my parents to their hotel for the night.  They got to read and relax some more.

Matt and I were free for the evening!!  There are lots of fun options for dates at Disney but we were still pretty tired so we took it easy.  We went over to the Boarkwalk area to walk around.  It was a beautiful evening and it was fun to just stroll and people watch.
We did stop and get some yummy treats (as if we hadn't eaten enough already).
We all really enjoyed our low key, relaxing day.  It was much needed and helped us re energize for another long day on Wednesday!
