NYC Part 3

We are almost to the end of our wonderful trip! I am having so much fun going back through all the pictures and remembering all the great things we did.

Sunday afternoon after we finished ice skating we went up to the "Top of the Rock." This is the top of 30 Rockefeller Center which is the top of the NBC building. We had heard it was cheaper and quicker than the Empire State Building plus you get a great view of the Empire State Building while you are up there. It was so neat to see the views of the city. It really puts into perspective how big the city is and how many buildings there are.

We were all amazing at the view of Central Park. What a wonderful thing to have right in the middle of such a huge city!
Looking down on 5th Ave. St. Patrick's Cathedral and all the Christmas shoppers.

Enjoying being inside and warm for a few minutes. All 4 of us! Not many pictures of all of us. Both boys wore their Auburn hats Sunday. We had a couple of "War Eagle Moments" that were great!

Empire State Building

It's just so big!!!

After the "Top of the Rock," we split up. The guys went on the NBC studio tour and the girls headed to tea. We went over the the Four Seasons hotel and enjoyed a couple of hour relaxing, drinking tea and talking. It was wonderful!

We had savory mini sandwiches and a wonderful assortment of desserts!

Just had to show this fun picture. The Christmas decorations all over the city were amazing. These were giant Christmas balls in a fountain. So pretty!! I don't know if I could visit any time but at Christmas. Everything is just so magical.
Sunday night we went to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular with the Rocketts. The guys stood in line and got us half price tickets which was great. It was amazing!! I had seen it several years ago when I was up there but it was still great.
After the show we went back up to Times Square. This was one of the things that really overwhelmed me. It was just crazy how much there was to see. We were standing there and it was the middle of the night but it was light like the middle of the afternoon. There are so many fun shops there as well!

Ok we were being silly! We enjoyed some wonderful cheesecake after we got done walking around. Nothing like New York cheesecake at midnight!!
Monday morning we got up and headed over to Central Park. We had a late afternoon flight so we had lots more time to explore. We had a great time just wondering through the park and seeing different things.
Once again we were a little silly!
So this is what I looked at for the majority of the trip. These 3 "play" foursquare so they had to "check in" everywhere we went. They had to get all their "badges." So stupid!!! : )
More kissing! The park was fun. It was really cold and not really all that pretty. I bet it would be even better in the summer when you could actually enjoy being outdoors.
Then it was more walking! We say the restaurant Serendipity that was made famous by the movie!
We went to Dylan's Candy Bar. I don't think I have ever seen so much candy. We were like some kids in a candy store.
We had our last lunch in the city at a great little Italian restaurant. New York pizza is the best!
Then it was time to leave. So sad! We did have a nice ride to the airport! We took a limo/Town Car so that was fun. We had some trouble with our flights home so spent lots of time in the airport! Matt and I realized that we were celebrating our 15 dating anniversary in the Atlanta airport. We celebrated at the food court.
It was a WONDERFUL trip!!!! So much fun. We got to do so many amazing things. It was great getting away with wonderful friends. Thanks for going with us Brad and LeeAnn. We can't wait to do it again. Boston next right??
