Snow Days

So we have been "snowed in" for about the last 72 hours. Sunday night we got around 7 inches of snow per my measurements. It was just beautiful. It is the 3rd most snow in our city's history. So hard to believe. I was 9 years old the last time I saw this much snow. With all the snow the city shut down! It has been good. The sad thing is Matt had to work through it all. He actually spent the night away the first night to make sure he could get to work. We hate he wasn't around to play with us. We haven't played too much. It is hard for mommy to manage to kids in lots of snow. But we have had some fun!!

We threw lots of snowballs...
Played with friends...

Took in how pretty everything looked...
Got caught up in some snow drifts up to our thighs...
Took a wagon ride in the snow...
Walked on snow for the very first time...
Even shoveled the driveway so daddy could get home...
Helped the neighbors build an Auburn snowman...
It has been fun. We are all starting to go a little stir crazy. We have done a lot of creative playing over the last couple of days. Ben is really missing school (and so is mommy). Hoping everything is back to normal tomorrow.
We did it. We survived the snow storm of 2011!!!! Who knows when we will see this much snow again. Could be another 21 years or so.
