An Adult Weekend

Somehow we managed to find lots to do during our adults only weekend! There always seems to be an endless list of things to do. Plus we just got to spend lots of time together which was wonderful.

Friday night we went to eat at a new restaurant - Pane y Vino. It is located in the art museum.
It was just wonderful! Great bread and pizza. We really enjoyed it. The setting was wonderful. It is in the middle of the downtown park and the night was just beautiful. It is so nice to go out to dinner just the 2 of us!
So after dinner we did the craziest thing 2 people without kids could do - we went to Toys R Us. The one here is moving so everything is marked down so we got an early jump on Christmas shopping. It was really fun. Then we hit up some sales at the mall for clothes for us. Yes we are the dorks that go shopping!

Saturday morning we went out to breakfast together then I got to go shopping with LeeAnn. They were in town for the weekend and so we got to hang out and go shopping. It is always so wonderful to get caught up and spend time with her! Ok so this was during the Auburn game. We thought it would be a snooze and it wouldn't matter but we were so wrong!! Oh well. It was a rough one and I am so glad the pulled it out in the end.

In the afternoon a friend came over and helped me work on the breakfast room redo. It has been an ongoing project that I don't know if it will ever get finished. Katy is awesome at using things in your house to rearrange and update. She has the best ideas and helped me totally rearrange the hutch in the breakfast room. I love it!! Matt and I were able to catch a late matinee of The Help. It has been a long time since we went to the movies and this one was great. The characters were so colorful and the story was so interesting.

After the movie, we worked on painting the breakfast room. I still have a few more things to do so I won't show it all but it is coming together finally!

We watched some more football and then got a special treat at Sweet CeCe's!

Sunday was church and more painting before the kids got home! It was a wonderful weekend. So glad we had the time together!

Today was Labor Day but since Matt had to work it wasn't a big deal. I got some more painting down and it rained ALL day long! The remnants of Tropical Storm Lee have dropped lots of rain. Like 7 inches or so. Kate just had to wear her rain boots (just inside) and she looked too cute!

So now I am all caught up! It is time to start another busy week!
